Bell’s Beer Dinner at Mellow Mushroom Mt. Pleasant

Mellow Mushroom will be hosting its first ever beer dinner featuring five different brews from Bell’s Brewery along with a four-course meal. One of Bell’s Breweries finest will be on hand to talk extensively about their brews throughout the night. Seating will be limited to 40 seats and you can reserve yours by contacting Eric Evans on Facebook, email, or by phone. His email is EricsExcel@aol.com. You must be at least 21 to attend.

COAST Beer Dinner at Mellow Mushroom Mt. P

“This will be our first Beer dinner ever. Our other dinner scheduled is a special one featuring a host from Bell’s themselves. we will be hosting a beer dinner on the frist Wednesday of every month at 7pm. These dinners will be limited seating and the cost is $30 per person and $20 for club members over 100 beers. You must be 21 to attend, no children will be allowed in that portion of the restaurant. We will contact attendees first after we do a few of these to give prior attendee’s first crack at reservations.

Menu will be as follows:

Welcome Brew: Ice Cold Pint of Coast Al Terior Motive Draft, Welcome to the dinner course….

Course 1: Feta cheese salsa served Brushetta-style over toasted Crustini. Garnished with fresh arugala tossed in extra virgin olive oil. this will be paired with a Coast Hopart IPA.

Course 2: A salad of mesculin baby greens tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette dressing, with toasted fresh peaches, candied pecans, and blue cheese crumbles. this will be paired with Coast 32/50 Kolsch

Course 3: The Mighty Meaty Pie Plus. Our #1 pizza topped with pepperoni, ground beef, hot italian sausage, smoked honey ham, and crisp bacon, then with salami, spicy italian link sausage and prosciutto added. This will be paired with Coast Red Legs Scotch Ale.

Course 4: Stone Imperial Chocolate Stout ake with granola ganache for dessert. This will be paired with Stone Brewing Companies Imperial Russian Stout

Earth Day Sustainable Seafood Beer Dinner at Farringdon, Summerville

The South Carolina Aquarium’s Sustainable Seafood Initiative and Farringdon Bistropub have a new way to enjoy Earth Day this year: a four course dinner featuring Sustainable Seafood.

Join the Aquarium’s Sustainable Seafood Initiative and Farringdon Bistropub, a new Sustainable Seafood Initiative Partner, for a delicious dinner featuring sustainable seafood and Belgian beer at this new Downtown Summerville restaurant. The four-course dinner served with Belgian beer pairings will take place on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at Farringdon Bistropub. Executive Chef Christopher Bailey will prepare a meal highlighting local sustainable seafood paired with unique Belgian beers.

The evening’s meal will include: Steamed gulf oysters with a white wine mustard sauce paired with Malheur Bière Brut by Brouwerij De Landtsheer NV; Chef Bailey’s Secret Carpaccio served over mesculin greens with coriander, fennel and a curry vinaigrette paired with La Chouffe by Brasserie d’Achouffe; Braised tile fish wrapped in leeks served over lavender risotto with a citrus beurre blanc paired with Fantome BBBRRR by Brasserie Fantome and a Framboise Float with a raspberry coulis paired with Lindemans Framboise by Brouwerij Lindemans.

Event Details:
Beer Wars the movie will be playing at Summerville’s Azaela Square Theater. Check out this highly anticipated tale of the brewing world’s version of David and Goliath, and come support the little Guy at Farringdon Bistropub! We will have happy hour specials inside and at our outdoor bar before the movie. Afterward we will be featuring 9 craft beers on tap including one of only 4 kegs of Stone’s new Russian Imperial to hit the State of SC. We will also have quite possibly the last of the Founders KBS and Avery Maharaja (supplies will be limited so these tasty treats will only be sold to ticket stub holders.) Our great friends from Coast Brewery and Advintage Distributors will also be on hand to help celebrate. See you all there!
