Tasting Bill 4/30…4th time the charm?
So our bill addressing tastings is up (for the 4th time!) for discussion tomorrow morning. We will be amending the bill, discussing and then there will be a vote. Send us some good beery vibes that
a) we’ll actually have the meeting
b) it will get a favorable read and a big ole’ YES!
c) if they do cancel it, cancel before we drive all the way up there

Earth Day Sustainable Seafood Beer Dinner at Farringdon, Summerville

The South Carolina Aquarium’s Sustainable Seafood Initiative and Farringdon Bistropub have a new way to enjoy Earth Day this year: a four course dinner featuring Sustainable Seafood.
Join the Aquarium’s Sustainable Seafood Initiative and Farringdon Bistropub, a new Sustainable Seafood Initiative Partner, for a delicious dinner featuring sustainable seafood and Belgian beer at this new Downtown Summerville restaurant. The four-course dinner served with Belgian beer pairings will take place on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at Farringdon Bistropub. Executive Chef Christopher Bailey will prepare a meal highlighting local sustainable seafood paired with unique Belgian beers.
The evening’s meal will include: Steamed gulf oysters with a white wine mustard sauce paired with Malheur Bière Brut by Brouwerij De Landtsheer NV; Chef Bailey’s Secret Carpaccio served over mesculin greens with coriander, fennel and a curry vinaigrette paired with La Chouffe by Brasserie d’Achouffe; Braised tile fish wrapped in leeks served over lavender risotto with a citrus beurre blanc paired with Fantome BBBRRR by Brasserie Fantome and a Framboise Float with a raspberry coulis paired with Lindemans Framboise by Brouwerij Lindemans.
